This year’s embedded world theme – ‘Embedded goes Autonomous’ – is a great introduction to Nexperia’s first time at the event with our own booth. Because automation not only leads to greater control, it is about efficiency and making the best use of available resources, 24/7.

RoboTeam Twente

One of the fun elements on our booth were live demonstations by RoboTeam Twente. This multidisciplinary team of students from the University of Twente, sponsored by Nexperia, were showcasing their latest footballing skills ahead of the  Robocup 2018 in Montreal. If you couldn’t make the event we’ll be streaming some of their skills right here.

‘Automation’ is one key to efficiency in a whole range of applications, right from automotive to industrial and building control. Whether it is power management in 12 / 24 / 48 V systems or extremely light but powerful motors, Nexperia helps our customers deliver the power of efficiency across the board, as our booth demonstrations highlight.

A quick introduction to Nexperia at embedded world 2018

This year’s embedded world theme – ‘Embedded goes Autonomous’ – is a great introduction to Nexperia’s first time at the event with our own booth. Because automation not only leads to greater control, it is about efficiency and making the best use of available resources, 24/7. Get a feel of what happened with Gerton Jansen, Nexperia’s Senior Vice President Sales & Marketing.

ESD protection for video streaming

ESD protection from Nexperia addresses the high sensitivity of the latest generation of system chips and high-speed interfaces. In the demo we show how our latest ESD series protectes USB data lines under 12 KV ESD strikes while video streaming.

Automotive car mirror, cooling fan and LED lighting

An integrated demo highlighting the reliability and miniaturization Nexperia solutions bring to automotive systems such as mirror control, fan control and LED headlights including relay replacement.

LFPAK56 high current MOSFET demonstration

The demo shows MOSFETs exposed to a continuous current of 200 A, highlighting the high current capabilities of Nexperia's LFPAK56 PowerMOS devices which make them ideal for high power density applications like reverse battery protection and motor control.

Penalty challenge – human versus robot

One of the fun elements on our booth were live demonstrations by RoboTeam Twente. We challenged visitors to the stand to control one of the robots and score as many goals as possible in two minutes. It’s not as easy as it sounds – take a look for yourself.

RoboTeam Twente demo team

Last year Nexperia became the main industry sponsor for the University of Twente’s RoboTeam. This multidisciplinary team of students came along to embedded world and showcased their latest footballing skills ahead of the Robocup 2018 in Montreal.

PoE IP camera demonstration

This demo highlights the power saving benefit of an ideal diode bridge in comparison with regular diode bridges in PoE powered applications such as digital CCTV cameras.

Thermostat control of a cooling fan

Today’s internet enabled thermostats can automatically adjust room temperature and air quality using portable multi-speed fans with integrated filter indicator, dirt sensor and remote control. Discover how a whole range of Nexperia products are ideal for these portable powered systems.
