From drones, household appliances and power tools right up to golf carts and forklift trucks, powerful PWM driven brushless DC motors have become the norm. With such a diverse range, different applications require different optimizations. Often small battery driven applications need to be extremely efficient in terms of power, size and noise. Alternatively, balanced current-sharing can be key for large multi-cell mobility systems where multiple MOSFETs are used in parallel. ASFETs for DC Motor Control are designed to meet the needs of a range of DC motors:

  • ID max – to protect during fault conditions or during high torque start up situations 
  • Parallel current sharing – for 48 V high-power multi-cell applications such as golf carts and forklift trucks
  • VDS 50-55 V – optimized for the growing number of 36 V DC motors for everything from chainsaws and hedge-trimmers to ebikes and scooters
  • Range of package sizes - for motors operating in space constrained or thermally challenging environments.
