Transformer drivers

Small footprint transformer drivers for power in isolated systems

Explore our portfolio of reinforced and basic digital isolators. Our solutions are high-performance, six/four/two-channel digital isolators based on capacitive isolation technology and a proprietary silicon dioxide (SiO2) insulation barrier. Our digital isolators are designed to meet a variety of design challenges in a large range of applications, including electric vehicles (EVs), hybrid EVs, industrial factory automation applications with noisy and harsh environments, and cost-sensitive applications.

Key features and benefits

  • Push-pull driver for transformers
  • Internal oscillator options: 160 kHZ (NXF6505A-Q100) and 420 kHz (NXF6505B-Q100, NXF6501-Q100)
  • Up to 1.2 A and low 0.2 Ω Ron for higher output power delivery at better efficiency
  • Spread-spectrum clocking for ultra-low radiated emissions
  • Fail-safe IO enables any order power up
  • AEC-Q100 qualified
  • Synchronization of multiple devices with external clock input (NXF6505A-Q100, NXF6505B-Q100)
  • Device-level protection features: thermal shutdown, soft-start, under-voltage lockout, and break-before-make circuitry

Key applications

  • Motor control
  • Factory automation
  • Grid infrastructure- solar inverters, charging stations, smart meters
  • Telecom - power supply designs for server/cloud/networking
  • Hybrid EV/EV
  • Industrial and automotive applications
  • White goods (major appliances such as refrigerators, washers, dryers, etc.)
