Nexperia's response to allegations that it cut IT access for its entities in China
March 09, 2026Nijmegen -- On 6 March 2026, the management of Nexperia China issued the statement that it can no longer communicate or resume production, allegedly because “Nexperia B.V. has cut IT access.”. Nexperia B.V. assessed these allegations internally and can provide the following clarification
1. Verification of ATGD’s statements
We firmly reject Nexperia China’s claims. The suggestion that Nexperia China is unable to supply finished products due to Nexperia managing its IT environment in line with company policy and applicable regulations is factually incorrect and misleading.
2. Factual background
Since Q4 2025, Nexperia China’s management has ordered to separate the IT environment of Nexperia’s entities in China from Nexperia B.V. Actions ordered by the management of Nexperia China include, among others:
- creating unauthorized email addresses,
- stop the use of approved Nexperia.com addresses,
- introducing an unapproved collaboration platform,
- removing hard disks from Nexperia laptops, and
- moving more than 100 PCs, laptops, and other IT assets needed for production to a non-Nexperia network domain.
These actions placed Nexperia China’s systems outside our governance, compliance, and security framework. Nexperia B.V. therefore implemented protective IT measures consistent with company policy, applicable regulations, and industry standards.
3. No adverse effect on production
No manufacturing systems were locked. Any incidental effects were resolved by Nexperia China within hours. Nexperia’s IT team remains available and on high alert to support the entities in China where required. Based on our assessment, the measures taken by Nexperia did not adversely impact Nexperia China’s ability to complete finished goods.
4. Responsibility for operational challenges
Nexperia China’s attempts to attribute its internal operational difficulties to Nexperia B.V. are unfounded.
5. Commitment to customer satisfaction
We recognize the importance of continuity, transparency, and timely supply for our customers. Safeguarding customer interests, including data security, supply stability, and clear communication, remains our priority. We will continue to take all reasonable steps to minimize disruption. Equally, we continue to call on the management of Wingtech and Nexperia China to enter into meaningful and constructive dialogues to resolve current challenges, to the benefit of all parties involved.
Further updates
Further updates will be provided as circumstances evolve. Customers and partners are encouraged to contact Nexperia directly with any questions or concerns, and to verify any communications received.
