Nexperia provides high standard in occupational safety. Occupational safety is an integral part of our way of working. All workplaces are rated systematically by risk assessment procedures. All necessary Health & Safety measures are in place for any position. Nexperia takes the hierarchy of measures into account. Safety trainings for all employees are mandatory prior to start of working. Safety trainings and activities are based on the local risk assessments.
Chemicals are essential in our manufacturing processes, our development activities and our laboratories. For this reason, we have strict mechanisms in place, based on risk assessment and risk-management measures, including technical safety measures, clear procedures, and thorough education and training. We also give special attention to emergency-response skills related to chemical management and working with chemicals. We conduct regular evacuation exercises and routinely practice for emergency situations. Many of our employees are volunteer members of Emergency Response Teams and receive dedicated training. We require that all our industrial sites have employees with professional emergency skills, and, at our larger office locations, we have employees trained for emergency response.
